Next to Taipei Zoo is a gondola to MaoKong ( 貓空 ) where the largest tea fields are also located in Taipei. However even if you don't have the few hours to trek up these hills and sip the tea; you must ride the Maokong gondola. It has an undeniable view that you wouldn't want to miss. You will feel like your soaring through the sky and if you go the distance you may even see the secret gems hidden in the mountain sides.
To get here you can take the the MRT to the Metro Taipei Zoo Station the last stop on the brown line. Here you can head straight to gondola or take a stroll through Taipei Zoo before heading up at the south gondola station.
Ticketing is simple and easy with any re-loadable MRT card (Ex. 7-eleven cash card or Easy card). Just have your card ready to tap and go.
