Luce Memorial Chapel is located on the campus of Tunghai University in Taichung.
This beautiful Chapel is a tent shaped chapel that students, families, and visitors love to visit all throughout the year. Especially during the summer months parents love to bring their children to the chapel to have a picnic as surrounding the magnificent structure is a 3-acre field of grass free for the children to explore and roam.
Luce Memorial Chapel (路思義教堂) was designed by well known architect firm I.M.Pei (貝聿銘) and built in the 1963 in memory of Rev. Henry W. Luce, an American missionary working among various groups of Chinese in the late 19th century.
Travel to Luce Memorial Chapel @Taichung
Traveling in Taichung is fairly simple as public transit is reliable and people are always willing to point you in the right direction. If you are staying in Taichung overnight simply ask your hotel receptionist for the nearest bus stop or shuttle bus towards Tunghai University.
If traveling in from another city it would be best to take the train to Dadu Station @ Taichung then catch Bus No.325 towards Taichung train station and getting off @ Taichung Veteran General Hospital, then walking a few minutes towards the Chapel.
