奇美博物館 Chimei Museum @ Tainan

Hopping on the local train for one stop we arrive at Baoan Station. A short walk away we enter into a gorgeous garden, surrounded with color from the flowers blooming and lined by a river. Walking further into the garden we are greeted by a magnificent palace the color of ivory. Amazingly what I once thought was a palace is Chimei museum.

Chimei Museum exhibits a wide range of "Western art, musical instruments, weaponry and natural history" with special temporary exhibitions throughout the year. Current exhibitions and ticketing info can be found at https://www.chimeimuseum.org/

Chimei Museum is not a place to grow our knowledge of history, it has also been designed to exhibit a large variety of modern and local art within the Museum and in the garden beyond. After exploring the exhibitions in the museum make sure to schedule some time to enjoy the garden. It is an amazing place to have a picnic or walk. There are also bikes and tour buses as an alternate way of enjoying the beautiful view at Chimei.
